Cause

Help us fill the gap in support for people, families and communities affected by AUD (Alcohol Use Disorder) in BC.

Across Canada, the urgency of addressing addiction is growing. But while we’ve seen major efforts around opioids and mental health, one condition continues to be overlooked despite its devastating toll: Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).

Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) is one of the most common—but least recognized—health conditions in Canada. Nearly 1 in 5 Canadians will experience AUD in their lifetime, yet fewer than 5% of those who could benefit ever receive effective, evidence-based treatment.

Science has confirmed: AUD is a treatable medical condition. There are effective medications and care models that can support recovery for most people.

The Canadian Alcohol Use Disorder Society trains and educates primary care teams across BC in new evidence-based AUD treatments and break-through medications, and supports people affected by AUD to access care in their communities. By doing so, CAUDS is creating the conditions for system-level change—bringing together clinicians, communities, and leaders to ensure that AUD is no longer Canada’s invisible epidemic.

Your support is vital to making that happen. Your ticket purchase will help us continue to offer and grow programs and initiatives that drive change and fuel health and hope for people throughout British Columbia. Thank you for supporting CAUDS.
